But most importantly, she really breeds healthy bulldogs. My vet told me Bernard had the best naval cavity and tail/spine he’s seen in an English Bulldog. We are so happy with our French Bulldog that we acquired from Thelma’s Bullys. Our vet said that Coco was in excellent condition and that she well demonstrated the physical characteristics of the breed. Additionally, our vet noted how friendly and spirited Coco is at 8 weeks old. Coco is a family pet and gets along well with 2 beagles and a cat. She is pretty darn smart, so maybe we may look into AKC agility in the future? Would help burn off some of that energy Coco has….
Would I acquire another dog from Thelma, if given the opportunity? Absolutely. Do I recommend Thelma’s Bullys? Yes indeed.
Thelma is an AKC registered breeder. As are the pups. I used the AKC website to find Thelma.
The process of contacting Thelma and asking her questions, and she of me, was fairly simple and straightforward. It was fairly easy to see from Thelma’s personal website and social media accounts how caring she is to ensure that the puppy litters are healthy and high quality.
Thelma answered all of my questions before we adopted and she has been an extremely helpful guide to raising this beautiful pup, post-adoption. Thelma’s pre-adoption advice was extremely helpful and wise. It comes from her years of experience with the breed. And her experience with Frenchies was a huge factor in our selection of Thelma’s Bullys. Thelma has provided post-adoption guidance whenever I have requested. And not to draw any comparisons, but one thing that is really important to future new owners of pups from Thelma’s Bullys is that I left Thelma’s house knowing that I earned the trust of the breeder. I feel that I have been well treated and respected. Thelma does NOT impose - she is not *one of those* breeders…. She has been very helpful and responsive to questions I have asked and has provided information I sought from her. I am experienced with dogs, but am a first time Frenchie owner, so Thelma has been very informative. Thank you, Thelma!!
The environment in which the pups are raised is very clean and exceptionally nice. It is a home environment and well taken care of. The setting is gorgeous and it provides ample opportunity for the pups to be well-raised. Let’s put this another way - if I were a pup and was raised by Thelma’s Bullys, I would have hit the jackpot.
I know as an owner, we definitely hit the jackpot with Coco. My advice - stop looking and start the process of communication with Thelma to see if there is a pup that meets your needs.

“After meeting/communicating with a handful of breeders and it just not feeling “right” I came across Thelma’s page. From the very first message I felt comfortable, informed and excited with Thelma and her puppies. She was quick to respond, answered all of my questions thoroughly and even did a special photo shoot to send me additional pictures I requested. Thelma welcomed me into her beautiful home and let me spend as much time as I needed with the pups to make sure it was a good fit for all involved. She then spent additional time with me while I went through all of my questions (for what may have been the third time). Thelma was thoughtful in her questions for me as it was clear she cared where the puppies were going.
